this is my letter of resignation
i cant go on seeing the world like this
everyday they say "everybody changes, its just how it is"

I shift my eyes towards the window
to the rooftops and the sky
i sing "why? why, oh why? why, oh why?"

adaptation is a trial, and im in denial, im held in contempt
all differences aside, this is goodbye, i try to accept

but i cant help but sympathize
i see them all running like its the end
like they have something to live for
hum their battlecry: next time ill try

this is my hope for revolution
my last chance to save the world
as futile as it sounds, i have no other option, live on a prayer

i shift my eyes towards the crowd
the punks, the wayward, the burnt out
they sing "why? why oh why? why oh why?"

deprivation of a voice is nothing to look forward to, i try to amend
asphyxiation of attempt, blacked out by ambition, im in disarray

but i cant help but sympathize
i see them all running like its the end
like they have something to live for
hum their battlecry: next time ill try
